Headhunters Drumsticks  – Stick With The Groove
Website:
http://www.headhuntersdrumsticks.net/
Email:  drundle@sympatico.ca
Phone:  905-319-1536

The origin of the Headhunter groove design goes back to a unique pipe band stick design. A pipe band stick is easily recognized by its long taper, large diameter and large bead. Pipe band drummers are known for their incredibly swinging speeds, finesse and control. The design of their sticks was by no accident. The demands of these rudimental swinging rhythms require a specific ergo dynamic design. Sound projection is paramount. Stick vibrations are unacceptable, hence a larger diameter in the grip area.

From these specific demands, the Headhunters drum stick design grew. Adapted for the drum set player, these characteristics are as true today as when developed 35 years ago. A player will notice the distinct ergonomic design in the grip area and unique tapers. The beads are rounded to help produce a warm cymbal tone and yet the various diameter sizes in each series will allow full drum tone to be appreciated without the shock of unwanted vibrations.

Introducing the PHAT FOOT™ Harness. The most revolutionary musical invention since music itself.

For years the bass drum has been unstable when played. The drummer always had to steady the drum or pull it back because it kept moving forward and wasn't anchored securely in position. This becomes a distraction and the drummer can not give his full attention to playing. The loss of concentration, missed beats, uneven playing , prevents the musician from being able to play at his absolute best.

Phat Foot™ solves the problem of the bass drum & high hat sliding out of place created by the force of the drummer's foot kicking the pedal. It stabilizes the movement of the bass drum/hat by harnessing and anchoring the drum seat to the drum/hat pedal which is attached to the drum/hat linking all three into one solid and complete unit. Phat Foot™ is the perfect replacement for awkward carpets, and the hazards related to using ropes or chains are eliminated.

Explosive, complex, full and dark. The first cymbal with VIBRATO. Nothing else comes close!

Serpent Cymbals enters the special effects cymbal market with a stunning new cymbal boasting a radical new sound and design. “This cymbal sounds like a cross between a china cymbal, crash cymbal, gong and thunder sheet with a stick of dynamite tossed in for fun” says Steve Croteau, company owner and longtime percussionist.

The Sidewinder 17 is the first model and size in this new line. Serpent™ cymbals are cast from the finest B20 bronze (80% Copper, 20% Tin), then hand hammered and hand lathed to perfect the tone. Then each Serpent™ cymbal undergoes what amounts to sheer torture; 60,000 lbs of water cutting pressure to cut the cymbal into it's final, one of a kind, shape. The resulting instrument hangs down in a serpentine shape (hence the company name) and is not for the faint of heart.

Typical applications would include drum set, hand percussion, symphonic, and percussion ensembles.

This is my home church, and they have been kind enough to give our Wisconsin Chapter of Drummers For Jesus a home one Monday night a month, except the 4th of July and Labor Day. We appreciate their kindness and generosity as well as their spiritual support. We couldn't as for a better place to hold our Get-Togethers!
